TTS line PLAYON is an in-line message facility. The difference is that TTS is a text-to-speech utility - the text will be played as speech in the selected langauge.

This utility is particularly useful as prototyping tool to experiment with different announcements before recording the announcement.

The dynamic nature of the TTS utility lends itself to being used in an information service where the announcement needs to be rapidly updated.

In edit mode, inactive or active, both the language and text can be changed. Changes to an active message can be scheduled to be effective at a future date and time.
